--Wednesday, May 12th, Littleton Coin Company honored outstanding employees at an awards luncheon held at the Italian Oasis Restaurant. During the event, Mike Morelli, chief operating officer, spoke about key attributes of LCC’s Quality Achievement Award program, as well as each recipient’s special contributions.
“Quality is open ended,” said Morelli. “How you do your job affects not just our customers but your fellow employees all down the line. Whether another’s work is made easier or harder depends upon the quality of your performance. Your customer can be someone buying coins from LCC, selling coins to us or another employee.”
Recognized for superior achievement and service at the event were: Christina Bogat, Customer Service; Wendy Carlson, Marketing ; Jennifer Chase, Analyzing; Naomi Drown, Order Processing ; Brenda McLain, Order Filling; Jody Roesch, Flex Order Filling; and Melinda Wojdylak, Coin Inventory.
Established in 1997, the awards program has two phases, departmental awards, given in the spring and fall of each year, and a January “Quality Employee of the Year” award. Morelli and Ed Hennessey, chief financial officer, select the winners from a list of candidates submitted by company management. Recipients receive special certificates.
Through the attentive service of employees such as those named above, Littleton Coin Company has become one of the world’s largest coin and paper money mail-order operations. Founded in 1945, LCC today employs approximately 330 people and handles nearly 1.5 million pieces of mail annually.
